Like this Vlim's and Twa Tau's neck gonna be much longer than giraffe  Keep cool, parents :imcool:
:imconstipated:sautille:
today some girls geppers are going rgs for interviews..but ri no news yet and this coming sat are test and interviews at hci and nygh...
My personal experience last year for geppers was that girls knew their DSA results earlier than boys. For instance, some of my son's classmates had already received COs fro NYGH before he was called up by RI for interview some time in end-July last year.
My suggestion for anxious parents is to chill

From my past experience, NYGH is one of the first to give out COs amongst RGS/RI/HCI/NUSH etc. As sautille says, chill.vlim:

No lah, not bo chap. Just not super ganchiong.According to my son, a group of his friends plan to take public transport to RI this fri for the GAT after school without the accompaniment of parents.
If that is true than it must be the first group of bo chup parents i encounter for DSA.
Maybe some kids are more at ease going there with a group of friends than with parents hanging about who may add to their stress.

My DS schoolmate claimed that he has already received a CO from RI through Sports (Track and Field). Just to check if any sports talent has received CO from RI yet?

Paiseh, super busy day yesterday, only got time to share share now.
Setting:
2 interviewers to 3 girls. Style is Q&A. Interviewers on one side, 3 girls seated side by side on the other side. Interviewer asked one question, each girl took turn to answer that question, with some prompting from either interviewers when needed). Basically, like what my DD said - like taking an Oral Examination...
[We were expecting a more chit chat like session as I thought that would be more spontaneous, but anyway ...]
Questions (this is based on what DD can remember but I would think the questions would vary from day to day).
- Give a general introduction (favourite subject, ambition)
- What other schools have you DSA?
- Share on community projects that you have been involved in
- Share on leadership opportunites. One that you are proud of, one that you are not so proud of.
DD came out form the interview feeling lousy and said that she didn't perform well for the interview. However, when I asked her to recount to me, it seemed ok to me. Anyway, told her to put it behind her (two down, one more to go) and take it as a practice session for her Oral Exam Conversation component.
Good luck to those who are going for GAT/Selection Tests/Interviews... :rahrah:
