Maybe can try reducing the distribution of uncooked cookie batter ????

It happened to me once, then I reduced the portion of cookie batter and it turned out better - just a suggestion

I used the ice creme scooper to put the batter so cannot reduce the portion but for the next tray I put the batter little far away it was better... Maybe should get the small scooper

      Oh ok ok .... I use a spoon πŸ˜„

Gonna bake another batch tonight. DD swiped all of them for her friends today. This time, gonna wrap more choc chips into the dough.

Can't wait to see more pictures of your cute cookies.

As usual cannot remember where I took the recipe from. Had a look at HHB's recipe, and yup, the same. But I used plain flour since no cake flour at home and coffee mate instead of milk powder since no milk powder and I added about 1 tbsp castor sugar when creaming the butter as the recipe did not call for any sugar.

@L-earner, just push the chip and the rice into the dough.

Thanks dear Funz shall try to make this weekend tooo.. looks very cute..
btw do you put anything on the tray so that it doesnt stick?

No, did not stick. The dough is actually quite oily.

Baked these for DS's class event this Friday. This month's theme is animals and the teacher requested for the parents to bring animal themed snacks thus these Doggie cookies.
              So cute.

                    Funz:
                    Method

1.\tCombine sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla essence and butter in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved and butter has melted. Remove from heat.
2.\tAdd the beaten eggs into the slightly cooled mixture and stir till well mixed.
3.\tSift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda into a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs mixture over the flour and stir till smooth. (Batter should be runny).
4.\tHeat up the steamer. Line and grease a 7\" baking pan. Pour the batter into prepared pan and place into the steamer. Cover the top of the pan loosely with a piece of aluminum foil.
5.\tSteam over medium heat for 45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a skewer into the cake. If it comes out clean, it’s done. If not, steam for a further 5 minutes.
6.\tCool the cake in pan before turning out for frosting.
:slapshead: I forgot to cover the pan with alu foil. Will this affect the appearance?
