All About Life Without Maids

Hi puff,
How much did you buy your Iclebo? It can be used for mopping the floor too?puff:
Hi fifiyeo
I only bought Iclebo 2days ago still testing it. But so far I am quite impress with it mapping navigation. When I use to remote to sent the robot to it's base , it can travel fr my study rm pass a corridor pass my dining area to my living rm to it's base without hitting any furniture in a few seconds. :salute:
The only thing I dun like abt Iclebo( compare to Irobot) is it's too thick n can't go under my sofa . :slapshead:
To decide which is better I guess still need more time to find out to give a fair comparison. Hope these will help u make a decision on which robot to purchase for your 2nd floor

a big HELLO to all super mummies/daddies in this thread

I was searching through the forum but guessed this is the thread which I may be able to get some views.
I am a FTWM with 2 kids (DD1 (2005) and DS2 (2008)). We am on the idea for #3.
One one hand, we would love to have #3. On the other hand, we are concerned with (1) DD1 needs attention and plenty encouragement to perform. (2) DS2 is ver manja. By having #3, I may deprive them of some attention (3) I do not intend to get domestic helper.
Next year, DD1 will be in student care after class while DS2 will continue to attend childcare. For those that has gone through this, how would you manage the situation assuming #3 is to be placed in infant care? Is everything in a mess (not physical mess)? I can imagine with #3, I may not be able to read or stay with the elder 2 for their sleeping time. This is one of those quality time which we love since they are away from home for whole day. At the same time, #3 will need plenty of care since he/she is still a baby!
How do you divide that limited evening hours among 3 kids?
I am battling since I am not that young. If we were to delay this thought, weI do not know if I will regret later. Sighz. -

Paid about $790+ after the 5% discount. Iclebo can used for mopping floor but it's not like scooba. Its more like wipe n need to change the mopping pad when it dry out.

Iclebo can mop the floor but Scooba washes the floor with water and vacuums up the dirty water into another compartment in the tank.
Saw Iclebo for sale in Suntec city today. They had a push cart store there just out the atrium in front of G2000. -
Anyone knows of a good Tingkat caterer??
Just saw this pamphlet from Kim’s Kitchen…anyone used them before? -

Should be more convenient but as scooba sucks up the dirty water, it should be cleaner and more cost saving as Kiwi clean detergent is much cheaper. Just my 2cents worth. -
Hi autovacstore,
The mopping pad is reusable , so there is no extra cost incurred when mopping , just need to rinse the pad manually. -
Hi Ladies,
Am joining this club soon. Maid is going home in Nov. Have had hired help for the past 7 years, but going solo when she’s gone.
Asked hubbie to pick up iRobot when he in States. Purchased via Amazon.com. Much cheaper cf getting from local agent. Also going to rely on once a week cleaning and tingkat. Considering Kim’s Kitchen too!

True enough Scooba is probably cleaner but it does come with a bigger price tag and maintanence issues. Eg. there will be some parts that needs to be replace periodically though not really costly its still extra $$ involved.
In any case, I'm very happy with mine with absolutely no regrets. It's cheaper than maintaining a maid anyway. :please: -
Saw this ad looks like quite nice when I visited their website. Another alternative when we don't want to cook.
