Dont know about ur school canteen but the food in RMP is not very healthy as they use processed food. I am very against processed food.Student Care in NH @ $240 per mth:
1) Not allowed to shower after class
2) Lunch and Snacks catered from Canteen Operators
3) In classroom most of the time, so must wear socks & shoe
4) Playtime is only after 5pm
Student Care in DS's CC @ $350 per mth:
1) Can shower
2) Fully aircon
3) Homecooked meal
4) 1 hr to do homework (only)
5) Playtime starts from 4pm (outdoor play, water play etc)
Both also got pros & cons. Which one would you recommend? -

Oh.. my boy is not shy.. I am the more shy kind.. :rotflmao:
oh... been sending DDs to such things .. so far they seem ok. first 15 mins shy, then the ice is broken :rotflmao:Castle House:
hehe.. SV won't go into single session so soon le.. from the way others comment..
If we only send him during school holidays, I will find it quite disruptive for him to adapt to new environment... new friends... new Teachers... :slapshead:
Guess for me.. I would prefer for him to stick to one thing... if it is not suitable.. then we shall decide.. -

Security is important for me. What if the child goes out or some strangers go in.
standard in centre 1 seems much better but security wise. it is just unlocked.. I went in unannounced...SAHM_TAN:
Am just concern about the cramp space for both centre.
Also you able to judge the standard of tuition in centre 1?
which is another worry point for me. CC always lock their main door.
it could be me who is bothered with little things and comparing it with CC... -
Kissgurami:
Really need to assess the so claimed tuition first.Student Care 1
- shower within premise
- No Naptime
- has tuition
- If need Student care to fetch DD, need additional money.
- School Holidays - it will be additional $5 per day + materials cost
- classroom quite cramp
- I went and noticed the teacher just sits at a side and tells the kids to do their homework
- the sch was walking distance to the primary which I came from so dont need bus arrangement
Student Care 2
- No shower within premise i think
- very cramp 1 common area for all primary to mingle with.
- changing area is within the community centre
- No nap
- have to arrange for bus transport , if DD has CCA. monthly stays the same but will need to arrange bus transport for DD for her CCA. additional $$$
- Tuition included. There will be homework from student care as well -
Just clarify…
When mention CC. means childcare right…
So the intend is either CC or student care… both should be half day ya… -

If I stop DS1, I have to stop DD and DS2 too. The younger ones sure protest and whine...Guess tough to stop totally but since the younger ones are going to cc full day by next year, I guess controlling DS1's TV time during day time might be ok.
That's what I do, I limit both older kids TV, bb not affected :lol:Tokidoki:
When my DH not at home, sometimes my kids do not have TV time. But when DH is at home, they will have TV time. TV induce beta brainwaves. When I reduced the TV time over time I find that my DS and DD focus are better. Just sharing.
yah, too much of anything is no good. i'm couch potato, so find it very cruel to stop my DS from watching.
Normal days, they will have 1 hr of TV time. 30 mins for DD1 and 30 mins for DS. But when DH is home, they will have more, so next day when DH not at home, there's no TV time  -

Welcome! :rahrah:Hi all, nice to meet u all here..
Happen to chance upon this thread while browsing around the forum abt pri school n P1 registration.
I have a 6yo boy (Sep 2005) and a 2yo gal (July 2009).
M super stress now regards to the P1 registration also.
I stay ard paya lebar area n wanted to reg Kong Hwa as i m within 1km.
But they always ballot for this phase so m not too sure whether to take the risk or not.
My back up plan is Tanjong Katong Pri as i m 1-2km n there is no balloting for this phase judging from the past history.
Anybody registering for the same school?
