I would think you can withdraw during school hours, don't make sense to have you squeeze with the registering parents on Monday (and where the parents wonder what's wrong with this school that you're withdrawing).

But the usual operation is to withdraw only on last day - becos that's the only time you can be sure of your chances in the next school.
