      Oppsgal:
The dead bodies news not on tv :?

Why never appear in local tv news?
too many recently so if the TV news report and update on every case, I think the 30 mins (less advertisement) will be taken up entirely :stupid:

the worst is to receive bad service from them and yet made to feel as if we were in the wrong or were being difficult or silly.

They employ PRCs and these girls speak incomprehensible English. Then when one elderly man told her to speak English, another PRC customer started deriding Singaporeans for not being able to speak Chinese, not knowing our roots etc etc. C'mon. That man could have been a foreigner for all you know.

I have taken public buses driven by PRC drivers and when stopped by tourists or commuters who speak only English and enquiring about the bus routes, the drivers just shake his head... and there are many instances of service staff not able to speak or understand English at all.

Once at Guardian pharmacy an Indian national was so peeved at a PRC staff who only shrugged her shoulders when asked for help. He then approached a local staff and complained about it. Tourists and non locals will think that's singaporean rude service... :slapshead:
