sorry but i have a question to ask. if i want to withdraw from the first school register at 2A2, do you mean i can do the withdrawal only on monday 18th July and not tomorrow? Anyone knows
I would think you can withdraw during school hours, don't make sense to have you squeeze with the registering parents on Monday (and where the parents wonder what's wrong with this school that you're withdrawing).
But the usual operation is to withdraw only on last day - becos that's the only time you can be sure of your chances in the next school. -

hi lih_rabbit, sorry to hear that. Good that you have plan B in action.Just call SHHK. They said no recommendation given. So, my 2 years and voluntary work is nothing...sigh...
Now to plan B...
All the best! and have faith in that the school your child ends up with is the best. -
thanks hquek and sotidy…

PV is so much better… More certainty.

For those who got the recommendation, I heard the school will allocate a time for you to come down and is not "walk in" as others. Is it true?

i know the usual operation or process that most parents do is to withdraw on the last day but i dun wan to do that cos in case of hiccups. i called the school and they say system not opened and asked me to withdraw next monday and i may have to kiasu and go down to school at 7.50am to get the number in case of withdrawal. They dun allow me to withdraw this week. My Old school is a SAP and balloting at phrase 2B every year but cos >2km so need to take school bus. take public bus need about 20 minutes so i am giving up.Anyway if NCP need to ballot at phrase 2B, i still have plan b.larkspur:

actually I think church is best - seems to be easiest route.
PV more certainty? I don't agree. Have heard of schools that indiscriminately accept PV, only to end up with parents not able to clock enough hours. Also the heart attack during the PV application/selection stage.
Grassroots? well I have also heard of stories where the person did grassroots work, but end up the school was not within the boundary...so end up a bit wasted; and also those that didn't managed to get letter becos of various reasons. -

That was what shhk told us but the sms from the school merely said can register on 18 and 19 July without stating which day or time so I presume no special allotted time -
i still have not received any sms from the school. Maybe will give them a call later cos i understand from huay kuan we have bring such documents along
