Hello,
Count me in in this thread! My DS is in P1 this year. His school has 4 tests a year and position in class year-end i think.
He is at Hua for Ch enrichment coz his sch does Higher Chinese. Am a SAHM so tutor him in Maths and Eng myself.
He has been learning swimming since kindergarten. Also enrolled him in wushu at a CC. Think enrichment is good if you can no.1 afford it, and no.2 parents monitor the progress with the enrichment work. Prefer sports ECAs unless your child is the sensible, self-motivated type. Piano exams are no-go for my kid (and mom who has to monitor) ! -
My DD goes for Yamaha, Abacus, Swimming, Tien Hsia and Art. Is it too much for 7 yr old?

Hmm… i think as long as he perseveres and learns something, and not too tired, why not? But i dont like too much sampling. Usu will ask him to commit to 1 year even if he doesnt like after first few lessons, just to teach him abt hard work and commitment. DS went for 1 year piano and dharma class before P1 but stopped now.

Not exactly sampling as we’ve been on these classes for around 2 yrs or more except Abacus, which is replacing her Ballet class.

My gal also in P1 this year. Do mummies here send your kids to Enrichment classes, tuition in P1? My gal has tienhsia for chinese, arts class which is her keen interest and a private tuitor for her maths. Do u think is too much? is it necessary?
1. english group tuition
2. chinese creative writing at cc
3. cca chinese dance in school
4. arts
5. speech & drama
6. piano
7. swimming during school holiday -

Saw your avatar. I like 'Glee' series toods is in pri 1 too and since there isnt that much homework and exam, we decided to let him do as many cca as he likes. and he is now asking for arts lesson and maybe a martial art course.
