Janet, Has your boy improve in SA1 this year?
Have not Follow the thread for some time ....

For Math...he passed Section A Math 20/40 but still flunk Section B horribly. His Science is so far the 'best' among the 4...above average for standard but below his class average.

Looks Like your Boy Need More Practice in Maths, then ....
I Believe with More PRactice, more Familiarity, He'll b Able to Do Above Avg ....

I strongly agree that the textbook should be rewritten. Actually I don't have much objections to reviewing the system.

:celebrate: :celebrate:[/quote]He definitely needs to strengthen his foundation to bring up his marks.
Other than that, he needs to remember his carelessness will cost him MANY precious marks.

Questions in exam papers are set so difficult  ...just wonder where the people who set the papers get those questions from. Simply nuts !!!

I wonder if this new Education Minister is really going to listen to the voices of teachers, parents and students. Every time there is a new minister, there are changes, and the workload of tr and students will go up. I'm keen to see how this new one is going to keep his words.

Yeah... me too. Wait and see.

An update: The 16 year old gal has been asked to join in some discussion panel by Mr Heng. He was impressed with her letter.

Read the ST that he attended a meeting at Gongshang Primary recently and replied parents' concerns regarding P1 registration. I really hope he can address concerns of parents who have kids in primary school regarding the textbook content. It's really too brief and doesn't quite help students pass exams...for eg English and Science.

I read bit & pieces of news here and there. Is there a consolidated status page - does Mr. Heng has a FB page related to this ? Who else is in the discussion panel ?
