oh, yes, how can i forget about sardine sandwiches. i love it mashed with plenty of chilli sauce (must be homemade) or lots of chilli padi and have them toasted. delicious eaten by itself or dip into coffee.

You dipped sardine sandwich in coffee? :scared:

yes...........[/quote]Just curious to know. Do you discover this way of eating bread on your own or your parents and siblings also do this, and there's a big pot of coffee in the centre of the table and everybody dipped their bread in?

Reminds me of cheese fondue where we dip pieces of bread into the pot of molten cheese.

But fondues are one-bite pieces. Sandwiches are multi-bite. :yikes: Bite, dip into coffee, bite, dip into coffee....
