Yah actually it made me wonder too. Maybe these people are not so technology driven???? Same applies to ATS too. Below 1km already must ballot, people still apply under other distance.tankee:

Alternatively, these people probably got no other option and decided to just put their names in as well. Trying luck though it's remote to get anything at all.
That reminds me of an article that my mum read. Someone who used to study in st nic secondary assume that her dd can apply under primary. When she realised it pretty late that she can't, she wrote in to forum to complain. To me, she has no one to blame but herself for not doing her homework. -

Hi can I ask, if the parent is from the secondary school (catholic hi, st Nicholas etc) and the join alumni, then would that make them eligible under phase 2a, where parents are alumni? -

Alumni refers to alumni of the primary schools, not secondary schools, unless the school concerned is a full school. -
I would think at least they would have bother to ask the schools whether they can register or not despite more than 2 Km away? Or that the schools would have just given them a call to let them know itโs impossible to get into the schs coz balloting under 1km?? At least bring the chance to other schools lah.

This is P2B we are talking about. So, unless the parents have done PVs in more than one school, or are grassroot leaders, the choices they have are limited, right? -
If they are PVs or grass roots, all the more reason they would know the rules right?
