I don't think NYGH has called GEPpers taking HCL and scoring >80% yet. In the past, this group didn't need to go for interviews. So you might hear from them with a CO soon.Hi,
I am a GEPper, taking HCL and scored >80% overall for SA1. I submitted my application for NYGH in late August but haven't received any news yet. Did any of your DDs go for the interview yet? -

Hi, wonder if someone could help me here?
I understand some girls who sat for GAT test in June at RGS have been called up for 2nd round test/interview. My child sat for hers on 9 Jul, when shld I expect to hear from the school ? Or does no news = bad news?
Also my child also sat for NYGH GAT and she told me it is identical to the one at RGS. In such a situation, how do the schools decide which test to use as a shortlisting criteria ? do they compare notes or just the the results of the test taken at their own respective school ?
thank you !
OrangeJuice!
My Gal did Similar tests.
RGS specifically say that they will not accept other GAT test results. Only RGS ones.
Thank you KiasuGrandmaster III for your reply to my query !
But wouldnt that be unfair ? In my girl's case, since she sat for RGS first and then NYGH, she'd perform better for the latter. This wldnt be fair for other girls who hasnt taken the test before rite ?
So .... Can We Just Call It .... Good Luck!?
So Your Gal Got Better Luck than Most others!

Hello,Hi Belle, DD took her GAT at RGS on 5 Jul, btw she is not GEPer, she is from the mainstream. I just received email from RGS today. Hope you will receive yours soon too

DD is trying for academic English, anyone out there knows abt the test details? what's literary appreciation (one of the test topics) about ?
I think some kind mums have shared about the English and Science half a day selection test some time ago as this 23 Jul selection will be the second and last test.
Thank-you.
Cheers,
Belle. -

If your dd doesn't have exceptional ability in a particular subject or CCA, then you should consider giving DSA a miss and focusing on PSLE instead. Your dd's results are good and she'll be able to get into a good school based on her PSLE results.Hi.

Bear in mind that DSA isn't for everyone. It's for students demonstrating EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY OVER AND BEYOND their peers. The trend now is for parents to think that DSA is a must. It isn't. And schools will advise students who are overall strong in all subjects but not exceptional in any one subject to forget DSA and focus on PSLE.
