      Hello,

      Need advice on the following:

Can I ask what Hdb document does the sch recognize if my nric address has not been changed to my newly bought place?

Cos based on my new address, I will be < 1km to my choice of sch but current address will be > 2km from sch.

The school only recognises address on ic. esp dad's ic as I have been made to understand. You need to ensure your ic address is new add at time of registration i.e. between June -Aug depending on which phase u r registering in.

      NOT TRUE.

Proof of Purchase of Yet-to-be Completed Property

An original Sales and Purchase document is required if the address of a yet-to-be completed private property is used for registration. The date of commitment by the developer in the Temporary Occupation Permit (T.O.P.) must not be later than 31 Dec 2013. In the case of a yet-to-be completed HDB flat, the Agreement for Lease is required.

Parents must move into the new property within two years of the child’s entry into Primary One.

Thanks Tankee for sharing the infor, my new address is a resale HDB and will definitely be able to fulfill this clause \"Parents must move into the new property within two years of the child’s entry into Primary One\".
Just that we are not able to change our IC addr in time for the registration but we have the letter from HDB that we bought the place.

Which IC address will be used in P1 registration? Dad’s or Mom’s?

If the address in Dad’s and Mom’s IC are different, should we change to same address before P1 registration?

School will take the address shown in the father's NRIC.

Yankee , you mean for 2014 registration in 2013, we must ensure the TOP date is no later than 31 Dec 2013? Even ic never change also ok ?

                      Yee Ha !

So far the rules have been \"not later than 31 Dec\" of the year the child is in Pr1.

So if you are registering in 2013 for school starting 2014, you can use address of yet to complete project that has TOP not later than 31 Dec 2014.

                      Yee Ha !

                      😂

                        Sorry...think there's a mistake here.

The above statement \"The date of commitment by the developer in the Temporary Occupation Permit (T.O.P.) must not be later than 31 Dec 2013\" applies to children starting P1 next year (2012).

So the rule is for the yet-to-complete property to be TOP not later than 31 Dec of the year the child is in P2.

Another words, you need to move in before the child starts P3.
