Lexy, I won't be applying at all unless I've a son. In fact I got 2 girls!
I was in this thread to learn abt how the numbers work, so decided to pick ACJS as my hubby's an AC boy till JC. Now that I know how the numbers work, I can apply this knowledge to the school I'm aiming for my girls - PLMGS!

Just another question:
I happened to read from a thread (can't remember bec been reading too much, haha!) that AC schs are affiliated to MGS. Can anyone enlighten me if I can get any priority in registering my DD1 for PLMGS since my hubby studied in ACJS? My pri sch closed down donkey years ago.

No you don't get any priority at MGS if your hubby studied at ACS. If you're a baptised Methodist you can get priority via Phase 2B.

and u have to be sure that the church that you attend comes under the methodist church of singapore and u have to be registered member of this church. It would be best to confirm with your church office...or if you have been reading the weekly church bulletins, they should have announced that parents who are members of their church have to get a letter signed by the pastor (after u have submitted the birth cert of your daughter).

Add on ACSP of 24 places, that brings to a total of 138. Won't be surprised that there are more than 138 sons living within 1 km and consistently record is broken every year.

Last year, there are exactly 63 got in to ACSJ for within 1km and only 1 for 1-2km. I don't know about the numbers for SJIJ as it is not listed in their webiste unlike ACSJ. Anyone knows? Somemore SJIJ numbers this year has surged up!

Of course, I also hope that the balloting only confine to 1-2km! It's the time for Mr Heng to revise the whole P1 Registration system. This is crazy!!!!!
