Absolutely correct. You will have to produce either the report book or PSLE cert.

But since you didn’t graduate from school A, the PSLE cert will not indicate that you have studied in school A. So you will need to produce school A’s report book should you want to register in school A.
Got a question for the gurus who are familiar with this... if someone goes to school A and then transfer to school B, is s/he consider alumus of school A, school B or both? does it matter which school he graduated from? MOE website says if report book lost PSLE cert can also be used for Phase 2A2 ... so what matters most is where s/he graduate from?

Yes, you are considered an alumni of both schools. So you can register at either at Phase 2A.

Really..like that also can ah.. I thought you must graduate from that sch ?
No need. If you studied in that school for even only 3 years, say P1 to P3, and you can produce proof of that (ie Report Book), you can apply under Phase 2A.

The news on too many PVs who cannot get their kids into their choice school, appears in chinese newspaper.

Please lah, parents should go in with both eyes open and palms clasped in prayer. I'm sure the school office would have told them that there is no guarantee that they can get in. if PV system were scrapped altogether, I wonder what kind of complaints such parents will give. Sigh.....
