Ok...guess I shouldn't say \"move in\" since MOE didn't specifically say so. It only said the property has to TOP by 31 Dec of P2-year.
So my kid if in P1 in 2014, TOP must by 31 dec 2015 ? or move in by 2015 ie ic must show new address by 31 dec 2015?LeeTaiTai:
So the rule is for the yet-to-complete property to be TOP not later than 31 Dec of the year the child is in P2.
Another words, you need to move in before the child starts P3.
But presumably, MOE would want you to move in sooner rather than later. -
Thanks big devil

Dear Anyone,
Could I please ask for some help?
I stay in a private property in Place A.
I would like to rent a HDB in Place B for a year so my DD can get into School B ( under Phase 2B)
Is that illegal?
If my DD is unsuccessful in Phase 2B, can I change back my address to Place A and apply for School A ( under Phase 2C)?
How long does the change in address take? Is it immediate?
Thank you very much for your help. -

For the 1 year rental fee, would you not want another shoot @ P2C @ school B ?
Technically, you can change the address in your IC after P2B which takes effect immediately. -

You should stay in a place preferably for the duration of your child's primary school education.Dear Anyone,

Hi everyone,
Need an advice please.
I registered my DS at a school near the place we are currently staying at during the most recent phase 2C registration. However, the lease of our rented place is due to expire end of August. If he doesn't get accepted at that school during ballotting, can I look for another rented place instead and register him near that place instead during phase 3?
Take note that by phase 3 registration, we have not moved into the new place yet, may only have lease contract duly stamped and notarized. Can that be accepted during registration for Phase 3? And say, if current place is Admiralty, but wants to move to Punggol (because this is where I want to buy property within the next three years). Will that cause an issue/alarm?
Because if so, then we will just opt to renew our lease in our curent place.
I admit that I was not prepared with the primary one registration process and did not plan way ahead. The result is this, stress :scared:
Just want an advice really. If there will be no issue moving far distance and registering with a soon-to-rent legal lease contract, then we'll go with that(my preferred option). However, if it's better to stay, then we'll stay.
Thanks in advance for your input. -

You can do that. No issue. So long as your intention is to move into your new place.Hi everyone,
