      Hi gt1122,

I'm curious why do you want to give up RVPS for CHIJK? The former is also a good school, right?
Cos of a few reasons most importantly proximity .. And my DD is very timid and shy so I think maybe a mission school and all girls school is less demanding on her ...
Also been hearing that RVPS getting very demanding with lots of homework

CHIJ Kellock had balloting for those > 2km last year, but that was probably the only year where children staying > 2 km managed to get in during P2C.

                http://channeleducation.com.sg/2010-Primary-Schools-Ranking-in-Singapore.php

Am very surprised that RMPS is a Tier 1 school, whereas Blangah Rise and Zhangde fall in the same tier.

Based on the list, GESPS is the second best school in the Bt Merah region.

Again, not sure what critieria did they use in their evaluation.

Wrong leh, GESPS is not T2. Anyway I have extracted here for more information.

                  T1 RADIN MAS PRIMARY SCHOOL
T3 GAN ENG SENG PRIMARY SCHOOL
                  T4 CHIJ (KELLOCK)
                  T5 BLANGAH RISE PRIMARY SCHOOL
                  T5 ZHANGDE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Err...titank, I didn't say that GESPS is in T2. I said that GESPS is the second best school in the Bt Merah region. Second best doesn't mean it is in T2. What I said is consistent with what you have shown here.

Looks like CHIJ Kellock is not a very school as it’s in tier 4 … GESPS is tier 3 …

Most suprising of all is Radin Mas in Tier 1 … Whereas some super hot schools like acs and pei Hwa in tier 2 …

I have found that visiting the schools during their open house could give you a better sense of the environment instead of relying ranking alone. It would be even better if you bring your kid along and ask them for their ‘feel’ of each school. I went to the open house organized by GESPD, ZDPS and CHIJ Kellock, and we have made up our mind where to send the resident rascal for P1.
