I'll be one of the mummies who will be vying for the 48 seats in Phase 2C next week. Hope my gal will get a place in IJ(TP). Any idea what was the chances last yr?? Is there balloting for those who're living within 1km??

There were about 57 seats in phase 2c and no balloting within 1km last year. If you are staying within 1km your chances are high, if not . The school will call you if your dd gets in. :rahrah:

Am also new to this thread. My daughter got in under 2B, she is the lucky girl who managed to get the only 1 spot left! Just received the news today, at 8.30 am, almost cried on the spot.
BTW, anyone knows when the orientation for P1 this year?

Anyone here are Parent Volunteers ?
I am interested to know what mummies do. Is it a continuous kind of activity or for certain occasions ?

Janet - For PV, there are 2 types (I think)..one is the regular one and the other is adhoc type.


The regular one will be like taking the gals to the tennis court for training (outside school), conducting Catholic classes.

The adhoc one will be usu thru invitation to help out in certain events like lift skills, dance fest, teacher day celebration etc.

Received the confirmation letter today, so..really confirmed that she has secured a place in TP now..Thank God!

Orientation is on 11/11/11 at 6pm. Pretty awkward timing..last time, my son's orientation is in the morning.
What to expect during orientation? Are we going to buy books/uniform during orientation? Experienced moms can share with me?

I have not receive the letter . althought within 1 km, but i still need the letter to feel secure !

It's only after receiving the letter of confirmation that gives you the assurance...I totally agree.

Orientation is at 6pm...be prepared for it to stretch till 9pm...that happened last year.
Your daughter will be in her class with her form teacher and classmates...ice-breaker session. For parents, they will be formally introduced to school by Mrs Tan (P) and HODs. A file complete with forms and booklist will be given. There will be dates given to buy books/uniforms.
