Thanks, Mickeyhmh!
Would really appreciate if you could share any feedback on kids attending after school care, or LB? Howโs the environment and quality of teachers?
My DH is apprehensive about sending DS there but I think at least thereโs someone to eye DS rather than for him to be watching TV at home after schoolโฆ -

VooVoo:
DS1 has been attending LB since P1. Teachers there are nice & friendly, tho' turnover of younger ones tend to be a bit high. The older staff has been there to 'mother' my kid since P1.Would really appreciate if you could share any feedback on kids attending after school care, or LB? They make sure the kids eat lunch, finish their homework, revise their spelling/tingxie, do their assessments (provided by LB). Kids are split into respective levels to do their work. They get to play together after 5 (waiting to go home).
Gives me time to bond with DS1 instead of having to nag him to finish his work after I reach home. Don't have anyone at home to look after him as I'm FTWM with no maid or grandparents at home. So LB really helps put my mind at ease in terms of his lunch & homework. Am not looking for LL-type enrichment/tuition, so am very satisfied so far. -

I am a happy mummy sending my girl to student care too but of course she opt for another student care nearer to our home.
I totally agree with Mickey about the food, homework and preparation for exam. The student care that my dd goes to starts way before I nag at her. So I have more time to do other things with my girl when she gets home. -

Thanks! Was thinking along the same lines...can't imagine chasing DS on school work when I'm back from work!

Do you sign your DS up for the enrichment in the school? -

BTW, most of the students with LB are from NYPS?
