I think having parent friends is also v impt,esp when children r new to e sch.with so many kcppians to be,surely our kids could end up classmates.even if nt,gd way of exposing kids to friends in other classes. -

yes!i agree,we shall meet on orientation day to let our kids see their friends.hehe..than they won't feel so frighten on the first few days of school cause they already know some kids there..hehe

I know of some teachers who are intimidated when they found out that the students' parents know each other. This means the parents can ask one another about the class progress, etc. Also they find out more of what goes on in the class from each other, etc.
