Received Hong Wen's confirmation letter for successful P1 registration today ๐Ÿ†’

Orientation is on 18 Nov and starts at 12:30pm.
Coincedentally, it falls on the same day as my son's CC year end concert. Existing parents can share the content of the orientation and normally how long does it last? It will be pretty rush for us that day.

      Cheers.

Think I better chk with my kids' kindy too.

Mine clashed on same day and time. At least you still can rush a bit. I have to give up.

Are the students assessed during orientation day? If so I will have to let my DD1 know that she canโ€™t attend her kindy graduation day.

I only know they do activities in there. And it's only after that day the kids are grouped into classes.

Last year when I asked, no one step up to say it's assessment leh...

Hmmmm.....if only there's a way to know for sure. I know DD1 will be disappointed to miss her kindy graduation concert / ceremony. She will feel left out when the other kids are rehearsing and stuff.

If it's just activities to occupy them while the parents are processing admin stuff, I might still consider to let her and her bro participate in their kindy concert.

I will try to check with the school.

              Thanks for sharing

The uniforms are dri-weave and dry very fast. I got 3 sets (1 is larger size), but so far, only need 2 in active use.

Hope this year the organisers will improve on the uniform trying part. it was very long wait last year. But I have faith they will improve.

                    Hi keendaddy,

My experience of orientation. Parents and kids go to 2nd floor (outside multipurpose hall) to register. Kids are brought to classrooms in their groups to do activities (this was NOT his class to be). Parents will receive a pack of stuff to read at home. thereafter it's to the MPH (multi purpose hall) to listen to speeches and understand what the school is about and be introduced to the various depts.

That was last year. not sure how it will be this year. But full commendations for HWS for doing a good job introducing the school to parents and for their organisation and communication.
Hi hquek, thanks for your info!

I think this is the normal figure.

Aren't you glad you PVed? ๐Ÿ˜„
