It's really nice to know the parent of your child's classmate. For one thing, you know who to ask regarding homework or school-related stuff. Recently, I had the opportunity to get to know my the mum of my son's classmate. Now we both know what is going on in class when my son conveniently tells me he has forgotten what's for homework :slapshead:

Very useful to know parents of classmates to countercheck homework & behaviour.... :evil: One way is to throw a party and ask them to sms you to confirm attendance!! ha ha.... then come or don't come, you will get their numbers!! :siam:

I wished the opposite direction is also true; cos my ds just spent $9 on a \"very special\" watch and another $2.80 on a \"very special\" notebook today. And being the supportive dad that I aspired to be, I egged him on by praising his taste, much to the chagrin of my onlooking dw. :roll:

Ds had the same problem earlier in the year... after a while, I told him can only buy 1 item/week, other times, can see cannot buy... else no more pocket money.... so far so good :xedfingers:

Update :

Interprimary school swimming competition final ongoing today.
PHPPS 1 B-girl in 50m Free & 50m Back finals... likely she will be top 3 like in previous years... :rahrah:

My dd did not qualify for final... competition too stiff cos need to go against P4ers.... :sad:
... next year more chance.... :xedfingers:

:rahrah: Yes indeed it is great news to be in PHPS, however, when you are finally in, you would want to get out... you will soon be freaked out by the system and the teachers.... you should have been at the back gate at term 1 & 2. many girls cried and simply refused to go to school coz the teachers shouted in class & scolded kids with \"I dont care...\" \"SHUT-UP\" etc etc... BTPS seems more a happier place...

:yikes: There is a interprimary school swimming competition and PH is participating??? How is thisa possible when they dont even have a swimming as CCA??? My son swims competitively at APS swimming school and I was hoping he would join the school team but was very disappointed!! :slapshead:

Oh yes.. my son was telling me about the 'special :shock: $9 dollars watch... hinting to me to buy... :shock: i told him that it was rather expansive... hmmm... many kids in school buying the expansive stationary and even bring lots of cash with them to school too. THey are in P1... Remarkable how financially savvy our kids are these days... hahaha :rotflmao:

Hi boys-mummy,
If There is an Inter-sch Sports events that is Not offered as CCA by the Sch, U can still Registered your Boy in the Event, representing the sch.

But U Need to Visit the Primary Sch Sports Page, keep in contact with the sch to let them know (Maybe Drop a Note to the Head of CCA, Mr Tan Leng Koon), or Even ask your boy's swimming Coach to keep U inform of the Registration Date, etc.

My Gal's Gym Mate represented Pei Hwa in Artistic Gym this Year (though the Sch Disbanded the CCA last year) and the Boy's Artistic Gym has been doing that for Years ....

Actually there R other Sports talent within Pei Hwa that R Lesser known.
Manny Lesser known Sports talent abound in Pei Hwa.
I have read of a P5 (Or P6? Can't Recall ....) Pei Hwa Gal going for Inter-National Golf Competitions (and Winning Many Events), and Another P6 Gal who has Won in Tennis Competition in S'pore.

So even if the Sch does not offer the CCA your son specialised in, U Could still rep the Sch.

Yes Academically, Pei Hwa is a Pressure Cooker. But Which Other Sch in Spore who Excel Academically in Spore is Not?
But so far I have not heard T Behaviour as per your description ....

Maybe Some other Hands-on Parents with P1, P2 Kids can Take up the Case ....

Firstly, congrats on your daughter getting a place in Pei Hwa.
Not only will you be freaked out by the tigress teachers, but will also be sucked into the stressful education system.
