Hi mummyo,

Any tips how u write for being a PV in HPPS? Can share with me?
Now planning for my DD2. :imcool:
I didn't write anything special. Just listed the skills my husband and I could provide. We're in the media and creative industries.

At first we were rejected but then suddenly they called us for interview and during the interview, was also based on what we can provide etc. They were very keen on my husband's video production skills. Very straightforward. I mean I can't possibly say I can be a music teacher when I know nuts about music etc. You get my point?

I think if you can teach like a musical instrument or sports, you get high chance of getting selected. Many PVs were involved in these areas like help in choir or chinese orchestra etc.

Or if you are the super free type and can coach or start a new CCA etc. then I think they will jump at the chance to have you as PV. hehe.

Just received news that HPPS less than 1Km need balloting for phase 2C, registration has exceed more than 28 vacancies

that was fast! 2.5 more days to go!

HPPS only has 28 vacancies. That's LESS than 1 class size so balloting at <1km is a given.

Just wonder what is the total number balloting for these 28 spots! :imdrowning:

We will know daily on MOE website and also after Friday the confirmed total numbers.

I would say more than 1km parents need not apply. 😢

I would say more than 1km parents need not apply. 😢
I believe school will notify those o/s 1km immediately or next day, when the registration exceed vacancies. That was our experience for dd1 when we applied to Fairfield Methodist and were informed next day to withdraw application (o/s 1km and registration exceeded vacancies) to try a nearer school (which happened to be HPPS)

Though we only applied on last day of P2C, registration was still accepted since we were within 1km (and yes, we were successful in balloting 6yos ago)

I can only remember the stress and anxiety for first-time registering parents esp for P2C. I had plan B, C... all the way to Z;p, if we had not been successful anywhere. Its an emotional time and I did not want to caught unprepared when feeling vulnerable.

                      Hi Mummyo,

Until the result is out, you still stand a chance at 2B. So, don't feel discouraged. I admire your persistence in clocking so many hours and will still do so for your 2nd child if need be. I do hope you'll be rewarded for your hard work.

Do share the outcome if it's ok with you. Take care.
We got in! SO HAPPPPYYYYY! :rahrah: :celebrate:
Happy that your hard work paid off... its just the beginning. Hope you and your child remain for the years to come!

My first two children had been blessed with good teachers most of the years. Not stellar results but good learning opportunities.
