[Woodlands] Primary Schools

hi all,


I am very new in this forum, this year registering for my son for P1 next year … still can’t decide which pri school to choose. Woodlands Ring , Admiralty n evergreen are within 1 km but i guess from pass record there will be balloting… have been reading alot, Innova seems to be pretty good but I am too far away … Just too afraid can’t get my son into any primary schools nearby. what are the chances if i do a transfer of school …

I’m on my way for registration. Is getting nerve cracking, knowing that both schools within 1km will b balloted. Anyone can tell me a 3rd option to consider, beside admiralty n greenwood?

The next nearest in distance will probably be woodlands ring primary if you are staying around blk 6xx, may still be within 1 km - can call up the sch to check.

How is Woodlands Ring Primary school? Academic n non academic wise? Can’t really see much from their website & appreciate if someone could share some info of this school… thanks!

Hi hxmum, i agree with Hifive. If you are currently considering Greenwood & Admiralty, i suppose you are residing within the 6XX vicinity and the next nearest would be Woodlands Ring Primary School. Woodlands Primary also few bus stops up. I would scrap the idea of gg for Innova at Phase 2C. Too scary. :nailbite: Good luck. :xedfingers: Hope you get into the school of your choice.

I’m also staying at 6XX… should I just go Wld Ring or should I try Woodgrove 1-2km?
I know Woodgrove more academic incline, Wdl Ring I’m not sure how is the school…
I’m monitoring & will be registering this Fri…

Really depends on what you are looking for or what are your needs.

If you want what you think is a more academically inclined school
then you would have different preferred choices. For us, we want
a school within vicinity. So any school nearest to us that we can
get into will do. The thing abt schools within Woodlands is that
they are surrounded by housing estates! :yikes: So sometimes
even if you want the one just down your block.. with sooo
many ppl registering you would probably still have to ballot. :faint:

Yes, the nearest like admiralty, greenwood n evergreen all need balloting even I’m within 1 km, only Wdl Ring seems like no need… sigh… Thanks for the info… I will see how & just hope for the best this friday… cheers

Since this is so.. you should monitor the take-ups within this next few days and place your best bet in either of those abovementioned schools. You would have priority for balloting in the schools if you're <1km.. :nailbite: You will need all the luck you can get. :xedfingers: So all the best yah. :hugs:


:offtopic: This is why i was whining to hubs... govt wants us to have more babies but schools are full house everywhere and this is not top schools we're trying to get into. :stupid:
