i think this chinese teacher might have some problem with my dd. once i write something nicely on her notebook in written chinese regarding dd homework, next day she ask my dd \"why did u tell yr mum all this u should know and hear properly when i teach\"..as a parents and locally born and breed here we always try to encourage to speak and teaches our child in chinese language, i think this chinese teacher might have some thought that we r not local i guess? or my chinese is too bombastic? well it normal for singaporean to be well verse in chinese and english right? it only we bit different we like to verse strongly on chinese with our kids. well i guess no point writing to d form teacher i think she already over d head with this chinese teacher as well.........heard many about this cl teacher think i just let d matter rest and remember d date that she got slap.if happen again im gonna slap her myself to wake her up just like d wp rally said. im quite happy with my daughter chinese result she always at d peak in class kinda of console. best of all she got a doting form teacher on her.
May I know which level is your DD in this year? -

Hmm... I thought there are no tests or exams for Pri 1s starting this year? :? -

i think the P6 teachers are fixed....they don't move around....so all P6s are in good hand...don't worry too much....
I am so very very scared the present FT follow him up to P6...if she does, I will definitely cry because PSLE is crucial and she is one who isn't communicative (nor friendly)...have been reminding my son to pee before her lessons (in case she doesn't allow him to go loo) and stay low low profile. -

no exam but mini tests with 10/15 questions....php:

So it's true that P1s this year are enjoying honeymoon ?
My daughter has faced one summative assessment (quite similar to SA1) and another summative next month (in my opinion, it's like CA2)...there is listening, oral and written tests. -
Happy Mama:
yes...but definitely much much easier than what my dd went through last year during SA1....the parents does not know when there will be a test, so basically less pressure for parents and probably only get a minor shock end of each term....php:

Yup, definitely! Mine too!
These Pri 1s are so lucky now, can relax... but on the other hand, a little pressure is good to push the kids and exams, besides being a gauge on their level of understanding, provide a gauge of how they fare compared to their peers. -
Happy Mama:
i think the school will silently conduct mock exam in preparing them for P2 year end exam....As you know, all our kids except P1s are doing past year exam papers in class as a form of preparation. The school will know how to take care of that...
Janet, yes the Pri 1s in PHPPS this year are really lucky... but in my opinion, I would still prefer something similar to what your DD is having in her school... Very good training for them so that they will not get a rude shock come the exam in Pri 2.janet_lee88:
