Perhaps let them wear something the kids like instead of school uniform so that they would not feell left out in school, its Racial Harmony Day and they kids can wear any type of clothes other than school uniform and have fun. Read from the handout that there would be stalls for food and games. Wonder any parent can advise what is the price like for the games and food based on last year?

My girl told me henna is about 50cts... so I gave her $1 more today to play around as she stll has some savings from this week's pocket money...

Some schools have blogs having updates of activities on the students but Pei Chun doesn’t seem to have. Wonder what the kids are doing at school like during Chinese New Year celebrations, Racial Harmondy Days, National Days, School Founding Days, etc…

I am referring to class blogs whereby homework, updates and information can be accessed by parents and students so that they would not miss out any. There can also be a photo gallery of the student's activities in school for the parents to view.

Is there any specific personnel we can put up the request to? It can also be a communication channel between parents and teachers.

Hmm this is not a compulsory platform for all teachers. I know some school teachers are doing it. but it's not a must do for all teachers. As such, you will only find those who are more comfortable with blogs, flash, twitter or fb will be the ones doing it. I prefer to do it via email when I was teaching there. It's more personal and I don't wanna what I do to be public knowledge. So different stroke for different folks. Though for the lower primary, where more than half are very experience teachers(30-40 yrs teaching experience), most are not that comfortable with blogs.
