Wonder if any of you whose kids are now in HIPS went in through phase 2c?
During your year, was there a very heavily subscribed situation for within 1km, like 100 kids vying for 50 vacancies?

2009 - 71 vacancy 79 registration (ballot 1-2 km)
2008 - 46 vacancy 71 registration (ballot within 1 km)
2007 - 74 vacancy 108 registration (ballot within 1 km)

Sorry I don't have last year figure as my kids is in HIPS, so didn't monitor. :oops: :oops:

I really hope my kids can get into HIPS cos it will be so convenient for them cos we just live a stone's throw away Plus I personally find HIPS campus very cozy and warm.

Does the school conduct excursions regularly, so that the kids can learn \"outside the classroom\"?

For my dd & ds class, majority of the student speak English. But it is compulsory that the student to speak mandarin in their chinese class.

I was there at 4.30pm. there will be balloting for applicants within 1km. Currently 62 applicants within 1km for 56 vacancies :nailbite:
