Since FPS registration is done at WGPS, what number should i call to check how many are within 1km.

hi, i called ytd. Just call WGPS and ask for Frontier's stats. They will refer the right figures to you.

fyi, the queue no.s they issue are combined for both WGPS and Frontier. that's why it will reach over 300 ytd. Although different queues but the queue no is the same set.

So queue no at WGPS and FPS are not = registration no.s.

Most other schools queue no. = registration no.s cos they only do it for their own school.

agree with champs. must see what is more suitable for your child. hard to compare schools without more info.

you can check their school websites for a rough idea although i think CPS' website is not really up to date (rt champs?)

What are you looking for? And also traveling distance a considering factor for P1 kid

which is MORE popular in JURONG market. Both are >2km.

Even asked how I can do PV, in preparation for next year registeration.

Hope those who got into Froniter PS can share their experiences here next year.

The total vacancy available for JW is 1509 for phase 2C, after day 1, 1010 registered. There are still many parents like us not yet free to go to register at the school or still monitoring. just wondering does MOE provide enough vacancy for all the kids stay at JW?

i never expected this too.

I checked the Frontier Primary Facebook page. They updated that there is balloting within 1km too. They have been calling up those above 1km to try other schools.

I can't believe there are so many living within 1km that have 6yo kids!! argh!

I have just called west grove. They have 195 applied within 1 km. Frontier has 251 applied within 1 km. My goodness!!!

between CPS and Frontier. Tonight will check MOE stats for CPS.

Me thinks should avoid the ballot and go for CPS. Dh feels since CPS has space, we should just try FPS first, if fail then go CPS at Phase 2CS.

I am worried cannot get into both! DH says must be risk taker.

We'll see tonight's figures then discuss again. These few nights many rounds of discussion!

Never thought will be faced with such problems cos always thought new schools not so popular.

Is this creating history in Singapore?? New school, not even completed its buildings, and already balloting within 1km!!?!?!

Every year there are still some schools which have seats for Phase2C Supp the only catch is whether you wanna register in that school or no!!

but if the actual registered number is more than 1510, some kids have to go to schools NOT in JW but with vacancy available for 2C supp. that will be terrible. :scared:
