All About GEP

comfy:
The latest one on self created speech from ID Unit.
May I know what portfolio you are referring to?ngbrdad:
Did the GE branch revise the SS syllabus ?
DS2 is doing twinning at NHPS so he is doing the same SS syllabus with the GE kids.
Just saw the assignment for his second P4 SS portfolio and I was shocked.
So much more complicated compared to DS1's assignment 2 years ago.
I am thankful that for a twinning student his SS is not going to be graded.
Reference materials on political speeches, influx of foreigners etc.
Looks really very \"cheem\" for a P4 kid to me. -
Chenonceau,

Well the GEP test is basically about how fast your brain works- the teachers set the time just a trifle short.
And anyway the girl’s friends are trying to protect her. She is in P6, the most important year of her Primary school life. I just want to make sure (yes, I am a GEP kid too. Surprised?) that my friends are not harmed by impulsive things they have done without understanding the harm that it could cause on the net. i just want to ask you to let her go this one time. She has realised what has been happening, and i believe she is truly sorry. -
Mod's Note
Dear All
Whatever that this GEP girl did, whether right or wrong, whose fault, which school etc has nothing to do with this thread.
kindly drop this topic and focus on discussion relating to GEP. Any subsequent post not relating to GEP after this post may be embargoed.
Thank you.

Dear GEP parents, may I know if there will be any more competition or special events (other than exams) for P5 (Term 3 &4) to P6(term1&2)?
Many thanks! -
My dd just brought back the form for GEP Screening test last night. The test will be on Aug 24 (Wed), English 9 am - 10.15 am and Maths 11 am - 12:30 pm.

Apparently DS1 did it last year during P5 but now it became P4 work.
We just let DS1 do it him self them but now looks like a lot of parental help is needed for DS2. -
What do the kids need to study for the last SS common test / prelims on 16/8/11 ?
It carries 40% of the final SS marks right ?
And 70% minimum required to continue SS status in secondary school.
According to DS1 the last topics they covered is on colonisation. So will they be tested on this or all the SS syllabus ?
I find this quite a hassle right in between the PSLE orals plus DSA applications. -
