Hi! I tried looking at MOE website but they only have the latest list of merging schools. Maybe you can call MOE and ask them if your pri sch merged with another sch or if it was closed down.Im wondering... I was from Lee Kuo Chuan Primary School at Toa Payoh last time. Unless your former primary school has become co-ed, your son would not be eligible for phase 2a1 through you. Only bet is your hubby old school.hi all,

Think your ex school - Lee Kuo Chuan Primary School was already closed down la if Iam not wrong...
Yes, as said by schellen you have to check fr MOE to confirm it.
Some parents did raise similar qtn as you too. Have called MOE just now. Said my ex-school was closed down. So my daughter will not eligible to earlier phase for P1 registration in Toa Payoh next year. Nv, her luck... haha.
Thanks GreenQ for the link...

To transfer school, this is based on principal's discretion & subject to vacancy availability. If the child's P1 result is good, chances higher
I know of someone who managed to get her son transfered to Pei Hwa a few years back at P2 because her relative 'knows' PH's principal. She was given some Donation Cards to be filled up as PV work! So her 'poor colleagues' ended up 'sponsoring' her son's place at that school.
I was very surprised then as being a mission school, I would least expect them to do such a thing. -

For transfer cases, all principals would find it difficult to reject a very bright child to bring honour to the school in time to come. As long as it does not involve donations, it is not unethical. -

Are you privy to all the details and circumstances of what occurred? I think would not be very fair to cast aspersions on the integrity of a school admin/leadership unless one were very sure.sleepy:
