hi Andiaz n Luanne, I mistook the P as one of the teachers when she first started cos she was watching the kids at the tuckshop, shes quite pretty though simple looking. Heard from some teachers that shes rather nice too. I guess ur right abt her being level headed… came across some post from teachers sending her their appreciation on teachers day when she was superintendant. U mentioned ur friends p6 girl being stressed, i guess its who she get as her teacher, I do know some p6s in the normal stream, stressed but nothing out of the ordinary. There are d department heads that the teachers report to and they all have their responsibility to carry out. Actually, the stress is rather high in p5 already. Well that is RGPS , whoever the principal is.

Mrs Yue has her mind on her own which she doesn’t state her reason for rejection of parents’ strong requests, by simply saying "I don’t think it is beneficial".

A handful of parents had requested her to compute the aggregate score based on SA1 results so that we know where our child stands relative to P6 level. Never mind it is not true indication as PSLE looks at whole cohort. We only want indicative gauge.

I personally don’t find her convincing and a person of stature.

\"Not beneficial\" from whose stand-point, caroline3sg? That the gals would compare; that it is purely a gauge, or that it would be too much work for the teachers without much benefit?

I think the score would have been computed though, given the level of details RGPS goes through...

Hi Kanga, sorry for the delay in reply. Regarding the school books, Pacific bookstore handles the supply. U can buy it on orientation day if they are open but its gonna be a long Q., a list will be given and u can opt to buy the bks on certain dates stated or indicate the school books u need and they will deliver to ur home. (small delivery charge,i think $5) As for the uniform, u have to go to BiBi and BaBa at Shaw Centre,2nd level. Scotts Road. They will also prepare the the name tag of which will take something like a month to six weeks to be ready.

Is this aggregate score referring to the T-score?

Aggregate score is for all 4 subjects. T-Score is only for one subject. We parents want aggregate score so that we know where is our range (ie 240s, 250s, or what).

No info on last yr’s SA1. We don’t need such info since different cohort.

However, info on how many students went to RGS, Nanyang, River Valley, Cresent, St. Margarets etc was given.
