I only know they determine the quota based on that year's demand. This year so popular may not be the same next year. For clan members, can only cross fingers and pray for the best.

For ur child born in 08 will be registering next year, thus even if u manage to join as member now, it'll be less than 1 year of membership. FYI, those who has joined for 2 years also couldn't get the letter from Hui Kuan. I doubt this route is feasible for u. The only way out now will be to apply for PV.

But my gal wld only be registering in yr 2014... How did u get the 1 yr? From now till 2014, at least 3yrs ain't it?

little terror,assuming you got the application signed and submitted this year, the general meeting at huay kuan to approve application is in Aug,if approved, your membership will be in effect from Feb 2012. Feb 2012 to Jun 2014, your membership is only 2 years 4 months. Frankly speaking 2 years plus may or may not have the letter and seeing this year application, 2 years plus are not given the letter. It is worst if you submit your application after August this year, your membership will be less than 2 years

i forgot to add, there are 2 General meeting in huay kuan every year, one in April and one in August. Assume if you submit in Aug and very luckily your membership confirmed in Oct 2011, from Oct 2011 to Jun 2014, your membership is still 2 years 9 months. your membership is counted as at the date of start of P1 registration and by months not by the year , so your calculation of 3 years are not valid

Check the SHHK website, they will put up the notice when you can submit. It’s quite early on - I think by April, you may have to send in the form.

There’s a form online that you print out and fill in the details. Thereafter, you can submit this to their office directly (confirm they receive mah) or mail it.
