Me 2 reporting to this thread. Dd registering in 2012. Phase 1 at ds’s sch which I did 40hrs pv for.

To add on a bit of information on the birth rate, for 2006 babies there are 38317 babies, more than the 2005 babies. This figures excludes the PRs & foreigners... but I guess next year registration will be a tough one too.

Chief, I know we're in Kiasu Parent...but are you aware that balloting for next year's intake is only this Friday ? Isn't it a bit too early to start the stress for next intake ? :?
Maybe MOE might just step in and the whole game of P1 registration will be changed by then.

We don't treat P1 registration as a game, and people are usually stressed because they are not prepared and uninformed until the event is almost on them. We had to create this thread early because some parents are already posting queries about next year's exercise in other threads.

Yup, P1 registration is definitely not a game.
Parents in P2C don't have a choice to move up to earlier phases. Moving within 1km is not a solution as many this year have to ballot too. Neither is it easy to be a PV now and that is no guarantee either.
With the high level of stress for P1 registration this year, I do hope parents have back-up plans. Now I understand your intention to create this thread earlier...thank you.

am registering my dd next year…feeling the heat already.

am going to accompany my friend for her ds balloting this coming friday…just to lend her moral support.

next year seem to be very tough indeed.
