Chinese July month (hungry ghost festival) and chin ming..these 2 mths I hate the most..as we have to endure for a month of smoke and dust..somemore we stay low floor. not only have to endure the neighbour but oso whole block residents. worse than 2nd hand smoke..haiz

speaking of this, i just remembered the big common bin is just directly at my unit down at the ground floor. Although mine is the up the 14th floor, i can smell the smoke and also good luck papers flying to my home. And whats more, the bin is there for good. Its not rotated to other blocks...

u consider high floor loh...so much much more better than me...and our unit is not fully aircon and need to open window for ventilation...so this month need close one whole mth window and door and stuff to death  coz not only 1 but 2 bins direct below my unit :stupid:
I just realised there are now THREE bins down there... crap!

maybe facebook or some website companies can design some "burn joss via clicking" service. People just log into the computer, buy the required "materials" online, choose location of bin, choose the recipients and then click "burn"… can also choose whether to repeat for the following years to come too… more environment friendly i thought and also wont share the same bin for fear the wealth goes to others…

        just a thought…

are you like, seriousss ???!! to eliminate the actual physical act and only virtual ?

I am a free thinker, but I respect others' beliefs and actions which involves respect for the ancestors. I think it gives a sense of filial influence for the young kids.

If we are to do all these tasks 'virtually' by internet :slapshead: :slapshead: , then maybe we should also click to attend Sun service, click to pray, click to attend school (?), click to workout at gym, click to cook, click to work :boogie: :boogie: wahh, can get paid from 'virtual working' ?? 😓

apart from this smoky neighbour, they comb their dog fur everyday and the fur fly and fly to 1 level down to another neighbour's house.

hahaha... problematic. how? :?: :? :stupid: :slapshead:

Actually smoking still not so bad, can just close the window….the one which is more annoying is all the loud noises from upstairs, especially since it always coincides with the kids nap time, and my kids are light sleepers, so always wake up a few times during their naptimes. I am quite particular about their naptimes, and have approached the upstairs neighbor 2 times, but each time they only say it’s the vacumming sound….but we also hear sounds like dragging furniture across the floor, then bang down with a loud sound etc….actually I never tell them it’s the kids sleeping time because I scared all the more they will do to annoy us….even my kids say they want to move house.

I had upstairs neighbours once who always appeared to be dragging furniture around. Why would anyone need to drag furniture around constantly at night? When approached they said they weren’t dragging furniture. -.-

For furniture dragging.. sometimes can't be helped lah..

For my case, the chair is made of solid wood, quite heavy. Sometimes during meal time, may need to shift a little.. I hate the sound also.. but quite difficult to lift the whole thing, so can't avoid a bit of dragging. But usually just a few seconds.. and meal time only.

Would seriously consider lighter chairs.. or at least those with smooth surface wouldn't rub the floor one..

hmm.. anyone got good suggestions/recommendations? 😉
