Mine is under Phase 2B n Orientation day on 23 nov.
Sigh, really miss the life of FTWM but likely hv 2 wait until my dd2 around 18 mth. Then I will 重出江湖. -

Actually I was wondering how much shld give my dd1 when entering 2 P1. She doesnt hv any $$ concept, really worry whether she is able 2 buy her own food. She can't take too hot stuff n hence might make sandwich for her recess time. I think I'm getting more stress especially when the actual approaches.btw his sch, normal bowl of noodles 80cents. add noodles or add ingredients, $1. chicken rice $1.50. lo mai kai 80 cents. pau 60cents.
he doesn't buy drinks or dessert. told him not to. he did buy sometimes when he forgot to bring water bottle down for recess. i still got angry and scolded him cos there are water coolers in the sch. my mom heard and scolded me for being so harsh. say maybe he see friends drink, occasionally buy drinks is ok.
wah.... i even kena scolding... so i step back and relax a bit. now he is ok already.
he is also the kind who can eat same thing all year round. i cannot, i feel sick of things v easily. -
Think no worry… just monitor when school starts…
To begin… maybe give S$1/- first… to start with…
Then check with her… and decide whether to increase…
I am training my son now how much to pay… and how much change to take back… after paying for the meal… or whatever… -

hi ectanz, u can start by training & teaching them the $$ concept & values nw. show them all the type of coins & notes... teach them to do simple addition & subtraction. i'm sure the sch shd hv already given them an idea...
in another thread, we talked abt giving them pocket $$ & also to prepare food for their recess... they shd hv a buddy system in sch to guide them along as well... -
