      pinetart:
Scgs is under Kallang Moulmein under post election boundary. However I heard that current tanjong pager grassroot members wrote to their grc MP and asked for exception to extend and able to apply to SCGS under phase 2B for next year P1 registration. The MP had approved. If this is the case then other GRC members should request the same eg. both pre-election boundary-Aljunied and current amk grc should be able to apply Rosyth for next year regi.

Unlikely that one MP can unilaterally approve such national thing that affects many people and the system/policy in place. We need to hear such concession officially from the MOE and PA.

Hi, I’m interested to be a volunteer. My girl will be going to primary school in 2014. Can I volunteer at my GRC but apply for school at other GRC? Or should I volunteer at my preferred school’s GRC?

You can only volunteer within the GRC where you reside and where the school is, inorder to enjoy the P2B privilege.

Hi, need some clarification. I am about to register now as a volunteer. My question is I am staying in Haig Road and my CC is Geylang CC. However even though I am less than 1km to Kong Hwa, the school itself is different constituency from my place. So if I am selected to be a EM in 3 years will I be consider as 2B for even if it’s different constituency?

You will be qualified for P2B only for schools within your GRC/SMC. You won't enjoy P2B for Kong Hwa in your case as it's under another GRC/SMC.

Does PA "remove those inactive members from the list" so as to allow "new blood" into the big family?

It boils down to the RC chairman and his committee as the chairman has the final say

                      Hi all,

My boy is born in 2009, I have read through some of the pages here, very informative!

I would like to know the level of time commitment required for a RC member? Are there many meetings & events to attend? My concern is my husband has a very busy schedule and frequent overseas trip and we do not have alternative caregiver. I am worried if there are many meetings in the evening or weekend then I have problem taking care of my boy…

My 1st choice is Nan Hua Pri which we stayed within 1 km. I also heard that the sch is very very stringent in selecting pv.

                      Thanks!

For NHPS, it is under west coast GRC... :boogie:
