Can we choose the tasks to do in PV? can ask maids to help?
mom will be knocking on your door before you could even blink your eyes, my dear  -
I was a PV this year and I live >2km from the school. There was balloting at Phase 2B, so all those PV who live <1km and those <2km git in safely. I had to go thru the toto process. Thankfully, we got balloted in.
Moral of the story: Its really much much safer to PV even if you live <2km from the school of choice.

I feel that for those not having a choice for earlier phases, at least the PV system gives us a tiny opportunity to augment our chances to get into the desired school.

You apply normal school or popular schools? If popular, heard do PV also no use if live more than 2km... :rant:I was a PV this year and I live >2km from the school. Should parents only do PV in schools that are less than 2km from house?

Can 2.4km round down to 2km?
You must be kidding right? It's not called PARENT volunteer for nothing you know. even grandma cannot help... seriously this outsourcing to maids for everything really irks me.
And sorry honey, it's not quite like a restaurant tab where you can round down $10.24 to $10.20 when you pay. -

I guess it really depends
1) on the school you are interested in (history of requiring balloting at phases 2B and 2C
2) whether you have a strong heart / how adverse you are to the risk of balloting -

whether you have a sound backup choice for phase 2C as contingency -
