Give your gal a break on 10/8...after all the exercising these few weeks, she really deserves a break. The rest day after National Day is for these kids. Our children get to enjoy the additional day because of the courageous young performers.
Hi! Janet,
Yes! She will have a full day rest to herself! πŸ˜‰ Mummy me will be at work so she will have no one \"chasing after\" her to do revision. :rotflmao:

Hi Happy Mama! :hugs:

SA1 they only cover Diversity so Material is move to this term.

Now I am more worry for next term when Magnet is coming! πŸ˜“

Yes questions on magnets seem more challenging, especially with all the diagrams. Oh yes, my DD is covering human body this term incl all the different body systems.

Hi Happy Mama!
I just went thru the Science topics with DD1 this afternoon - the school is now on life cycles of animals and next week then will move on to plants. Guess Science T trying to complete the SA2 topics by next week so that the week follows next will be revision and the SA2 will fall on week 9... πŸ˜“ πŸ˜“

From the last e-mail I rec from Science T - seems like Term 4 there is only the topic on Magnet! Probably System will be in P4 :? :scratchhead:

He should not freak out since it's nothing new...but I will have to turn a deaf ear  when he whines and complains. Anyway, Monday is a half day and work-free too...in exchange for 2 days of SA2 revision.

Sometimes, I rather my kids whine and complain a bit. Right now, everytime I ask both my kids (P4 & P5) how are they coping, do they understand their lessons, need my help.........all I get is 'OK, can ah, no need'.

I dare not hands off with my son...supposed to let him plan his CA1 revision but took it back. As for my younger one in P1, I have to revise with her for summative tasks this month.
Hi mummies.

Jus go thru those piles of papers DD brought back couple of weeks ago, then I realised the brief CA2 timetable! With the practical n process skill tests that consists of 30%, bal 70% cover topics like cells, electricity.

1 last topic to go before SA2...that is ELECTRICITY which is hubby's specialty...hahaha. He will have to coach son...I hands off. Some schools like Rosyth give tough questions be it CA1 or CA2 :faint:

Janet_lee88,
Your hubby still can teach, I still to struggle it's hope DD know better than me.
My hubby said I'm not a 'physics' person...which is why I cannot coach son in magnets and electrical circuit. I am ok with 'wordy' chapters but those 2 are no-no :siam:

HI Champion,

Thanks for uploading the pic of that book you saw.
It's quite interesting to see the answers of some keywords in BOLD.
You sure got me curious to see the upper block version.

Janet,
I am very very tempted to go get the above book now too! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

I went through the Science Process Skills by Teachers@Work - I am about to :faint: ...A 2 marks question requires kid to write very length answer! I was on the topic \"Materials\" and started off copying the answers enthusiastically but almost :snooze: reaching 3/4 of that topic.....

I am wondering is it required for a 2 marks question to be so lengthy? I will make a comparison with this Janet Sim Frequently Asked Questions assessment book

Was so :scared: after I finished the topic on \"Materials\" and today, hopefully I can finished the life cycle of plants πŸ˜“ πŸ˜“

Hi Champion,

I will be using 3 books for SA2 revision...Helen Lee's Upper Block New Syllabus, Learning Science (SAP) and Janet Sim's FAQ. The FAQ is good for reading the day or 2 before exam.

Don't talk about lengthy answer for a 2mark question :yikes: ...even a 1mark question can take up to 2 - 2 1/2 lines :faint:
