The orientation day will be on Nov 23. Not sure whether this yr, NCPS will conduct tests on 3 subjects during the orientation day. According to some parents, their child did the tests last yr. The purpose of these tests is to assess individual kid’s ability n this might affect their class allocation.

Good thing the twins were picked last, that means the school needs to create 1 extra palce for the 2nd twin. Can u imagine if the twins were picked earlier and occupied 2 places, many parents will be very upset.

welcome!!!! Thinking of letting DD join any of the alumni activities? There are art, dance, martial arts and dunno what else....

Ya, true. Otherwise, we would have lost 1 place.
I will let her join if she shows some interest. It will be good she could join some chinese enrichement class as her chinese is very weak.
But, need to see if her schedule can fit in.
She's now attending piano, swimming and ballet on weekends.

Hi daddy707, you may browse thru PG 113 n 114 for such info. For those weaker ones during the assessment, they will encourage u to enrol yr kid in those enrichment classes b4 school starts according to those mummies.

Games format, should be fun and not too tough. Just let them be, no need to prepare. They will be assessed on basic stuffs, not P1 std. If your kid attends kindergarten, should be fine. I am not sure if they are assessed on HYPY but since my son's kindergarten didn't have this as part of programme, I let him attend HYPY class prior to P1. I was glad I did that.
