Borders sale update:


Kids selection - pathetic. (only like 1 row / 20 boxes of books and disappearing fast)
Fiction - good (few rows, all in boxes, but no logical way to look)
Non-fiction - VERY good (more than half the hall, titles all over the place).

Most books are like 50% off list price, or tagged with a price (eg $5). A lot of them are those that have been loved by book browsers before (ie condition not that great but still acceptable).

They have pretty good check out system. 'less than 5 books' have their own queue. Not many pp queueing when I was paying (thank goodness) so it was pretty quick.

Print out and then cut out the online coupon. $5 off if your buy exceed $50. But only 1 voucher per transaction (so those big buyers may want to bring reinforcement).

hmm, not sure if anyone wants to save some ammo for this. I think they may either hold it at expo, or the shopping centre opposite Cathay cineleisure. I would expect crowds out for good buys then.


Borders will transfer some of the books at the Wheelock outlet to its Parkway Parade branch. It will hold a book sale in two weeks, although a venue has not been determined.
