Read in Sunday Times about some of the comments made by the 5 presidential candidates - the 4 Tans and 1 Kuan. Somehow got the impression that a couple of them have their personal/political agenda for wanting to run for presidency.
With the US' economy now in the dark clouds and predictions of world economic thundestorm in the near future, I'm really worried that if those with personal/political agenda are elected, are they able to steer Spore away from the financial thunderstorm and into a brighter future? or will they just bicker with the govt constantly over political or micro issues?

I doubt if ANY elected president, whatever his agenda, can significantly influence the economic agenda.

That would be the most obvious form of insider trading and they would be completely dumb and clueless to even attempt to do so.

I don't share your cynicism about leadership. -

Anyway they will be the dumbest of the dumbesters to open investment accounts in their own names.
Would like to have at least 1 name of an exemplary, past or present, leader that have no personal agenda.
