      I agree to disagreed.

Anyway they will be the dumbest of the dumbesters to open investment accounts in their own names.

Would like to have at least 1 name of an exemplary, past or present, leader that have no personal agenda.
You have no clue how SEC investigates insider trading. There are rules around who can open investment accounts and what ID need to be provided. The accounts of relatives/associates may be scrutinised for unusual movements during sensitive times. Its easy to sit down and make an accusation of conspiracy, proving it is hardly as easy, yes?

S&P rates hundreds and hundreds of companies and countries a year. If they want to do insider trading, there are tons of opportunities, most more meaningful for an insider trade than a country downgrade. The regulators must be watching them like hawk.

But he/she's talking about leaders with \"personal agenda\"..

It has nothing to do with what post he held before becoming EP rite..

anyone know if there is any announcement that 27 August is a public holiday :?

Think should be a public holiday as my kid's childcare not open.

Only schools have holiday. It is NOT a public holiday for working adults. :stompfeet:

well, in fairness, TKL did vow to donate at least 50% of the president's salary to charity, if he wins. http://www.straitstimes.com/STI/STIMEDIA/pdf/20110607/Public_Service.pdf

Not to take away anything from President Nathan, but which Singapore actually feel that $4.2m too much for a position, whose roles and responsibilities had been downplayed by some of the cabinet ministers ?

Anyway, recent public speeches by TT has been very disappointing, and he doesn't seem to be as confident as before, and definitely not as neutral as he claims.

interesting on the Poll recently by yahoo. However, it seems many from the non-internet group of citizens, they still ks and ks, will go along with previous impression of the past TT.

my personal choice is neither of these 2 Tans though

TJS and TCB seems more sincere and able to connect to all levels of Singaporeans, in my personal opinion

I admired your faith in the system of this world. But I wonder who hawks on the regulators - sorry I'm forever cynical.

Leader without a strong self-centered personal agenda is puppet.

75737 people voted for this poll?

I have not decided. By default, it does appear to be TT where most people are familiar with. But.... looking at the recent news that surface and also how social media plays a part in our GE2011, nothing is for sure now. What used to be an advantage does have its disadvantage now where people dedicated to try to dig all the past deeds.
