Poor girl (I mean the foreigner who commented)… Many new citizens compare Singapore with their country of origin and they cannot understand why we are so hard on our politicians. In some countries in South East Asia, a powerful politician can send a hitman out to shoot someone he doesn’t like and NOTHING will happen to him and NO ONE will dare to complain about him. Compared to politicians like that, Penny is an angel.


I am not trying to condone what Penny did. After all, did not all of us grow up in school being taught to say the pledge and sing the anthem at full attention? BUT, there seems to be a massive over reaction here…
