10 yr old boy insult 61 yr old auntie
-
Quite true, auntie is no angel either. But then for a person her age, to have been mocked by a 10yr old, it must not have been easy to stomach.
And yes, I take this as a positive learning opportunity for myself - have to be careful what I tell my kids and how I phrase it. at times, I did tell them if you dun study, you’ll end up as a "…". Sigh, these are pretty useful becos it’s something concrete and they can visualise but then if it’s used as something to insult, then it’ll be very wrong. -
Based on the auntie side of story the parents is surely in fault for overly protecting the child.. but on the other side, the tone of the way the elder had feedback to the parent could have also offended the parents to react as 'you watch out'.. Not sure exactly who is in fault
..
Parents should educate their child not to play on moving vehicles be it MRT, Bus or Car.. Its very dangerous.. Parents should also educate their child to speak with respect..
The child's behavior shows that both parents are not educating him instead allowing him to do so.. -
if it is my child who end up like this, the child will get whacked from me first, it is a disgrace
for me and my family only. no stone throwing please   -

I totally concur !if it is my child who end up like this, the child will get whacked from me first, it is a disgrace
But definitely it was the mother's overly protectivie and pampering, which led to the boy's initial comments. However, for a 10 yr old, the boy should know right from wrong already, and respect and manners, which obviously were lacking from home lessons. If a kid btw 5 to 7, they usually repeat parents' comments unknowingly, 10 ? Should whack liao :spank: :spank: -

i have seen a sec sch girl giving the bus driver the middle finger when he drove off before she alighted. i told my dh that i wondered why the bus driver stopped for her when she gave that rude gesture; he should have drove off and let her alight at the next stop. my dh said that the fact that the bus driver did not drive off did not mean that he is a 'chicken', it is ricebowl at stake and the driver may know that this was just one of his unlucky days and get on with it. the bus auntie could have brushed off that boy's rude comment and approach her supervisor immediately to request for transfer. why name calling and be concerned about the boy's future to confront the parents?
I totally concur !verykiasu2010:

oo...didn't know that...cos i thought the article mentioned she joined the transport company which provided school bus services....so i thought may have a network of buses.
may not be able to transfer if it is a school bus for pri kids, the operator may have only one bus ??
OT, but i used to see the bus aunties of my ds2's school bus serving other buses that serve other kindergartens....
...maybe she re-applied to other transport coy or the transport coy has other network to serve.
nowadays kids are parents' precious....even teachers need to know PR skills to survive.
so stressful.... -
