Marmum, actually the string was tied to the window latch (i type window bar). Then the other end was held by one kid. They use drinking straw to go through the string, then use sticky tape to tape to the surface of the balloon. Then when the air is let go, the balloon will move with the straw along the string… The balloon burst is because they ‘over blown’ it, teacher will replace if burst. Then see which group’s balloon travels the farthest…

Hi popoink
My gal will be going to PC next year too! Hope to know more of parents whose child is going to PC next year.
From what I understand, higher Chinese is compulsory for P1-P4 children. They can choose to opt out for higher Chinese when they are P5. -
Welcome!!!

Any parent support group memeber here? I understand from my child that some parent’s help out during class outings or activities and also on special days like Racial Harmony Day. Any idea if this is part of Parent Support Group or is it some kind of support group for individual classes? How do we get involved on an ad-hoc basic as am a FTWM but would like to get involved in my child’s school activites.

Yes, maltbibi is right... P1-P4 all higher Chinese, P5 can choose to
opt out... Actually there's not much diff between
Chinese n higher Chinese for lower primary I think. The textbooks r more or less the same...
What's your concern? -
Thanks Callie… sigh… my concern is that my kid might not be able to cope with the high standard of Chinese… as of now, we are struggling with the current K2 Chinese…anyway, many thanks for the info and have a great weekend ahead!

Hi popoink,
You're welcome.
Don't worry too much... HCL is not very much more difficult until the upper primary... Have time to build foundation...
