My ds is there and so far, he seems to be adapting well. I find the teachers are approachable. He also made a lot of friends.

Naturally, there are times when he was bullied. As long as it is not too severe, I’ll take it as part and parcel of life. In turn, my ds learn how to handle the situation.

My ds is in after school care. As his school is just nearby, the teacher from the student care will pick him up after his CCA.

As for your ds, you might want to check with the school he’s attending. Hope this helps.

                Hi mummy of 2 boys,

Sorry, to hear that. Anyway, there are others nearby. Eg. Dexus (nearer to the sidegate of Greendale Primary school canteen) and Mercu at Edgefield.

On second thoughts, you may want to place your child at a student care nearer to his school. It’ll be easier in terms of fetching/sending during CCA?

                Cheers,

Can tell me more about the student care…

1)What their doing in the centre.
2)Any additional assessment work for them.
3)Any additional charges on school holiday.
                    4)… …

Bcau i called my nearest centre has add. charges during school holiday. And their never provided any add. assessment book for them. But parent can buy the homework for them & do in the centre.

                    Pls advice.Thanks.

1)What their doing in the centre.
Basically, bathe, eat lunch, nap time, tea break, finish off homework/sometimes given some work/play time while waiting to be picked up.
2)Any additional assessment work for them.
Pearl student care doesn't give much. I do know that Dexus has tuitions but not sure if this is included in the fees. Personally, I prefer no tuitions as I think they already have a long day at school. As long as my ds tried to finish his homework at student care, this is good enough for me.
3)Any additional charges on school holiday.
Yes, I think this is reasonable as they stay full day during school holidays.

Student care is a place where kids get discipline. if the student care do helps the kids up in their school work and extra assement revision. its a bonus for parents as they can spend weekends with them to build bond. rather than nagging at them.
