Vegan is very tricky, even for adults.

But I think lacto-ovo-vegetarianism is quite doable.

I remember reading somewhere that vegans should take vit B supplements. If do careful research, can still have a healthy vegan diet.

what is the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan?

My ex-colleague’s brother and SIL are vegetarian and so are their kids since birth. They put their kids in a childcare centre that serves vegetarian food and the kids do not eat during school recess because the school doesnt serve vegetarian food. I forgot to ask her what did her SIL eat during confinement then? I thought that was the best time for women to get the proper nourishment.

Vegetarians still take dairy products. Some vegetarians take eggs but some stricter ones don't. Vegan do not take eggs or dairy products at all. So vegan diet is very strict as they don't include milk, eggs, cheese. They take nuts, soya product for protein. That's why they have to be very careful with getting enough protein, esp for kids.

My husband became a vegan since his JC years. I’m an ovo-lacto vegetarian and so is my 3 year old son. It’s tough raising a vegetarian kid, I cant even imagine raising a vegan kid unless the kid opts to be a vegan himself. Maybe you should wait a few more years?
