What is the prerequsites for entering VS (IP)?
Am I correct to list these:
1. GAT test
2. P4 to P6 exam results
3. Interview

Do other IP schools have the same criteria?

Yes, I think the above are almost similar prerequisites for most of the DSA IP except some schools only required P5 and P6 results for item 2). Item 1) is almost compulsory for main streamers. Anybody know the weightage for each items? Thanks.

Hi cheerfuldad, glad to hear that you had received VS call today. Heard from the admin that their call started last week and will end by this week.

Heard from my son that the interview is a very general one. Duration about 5 mins per student. Three interviewers and one with a laptop and video camera recording the whole conversation.

Example of the questions were:-

1) beside VS, which school did u apply? If offer CO from both school, which
school will u select and why?
2) how do u come to VS if u are offered a place.
3) talked briefly about your CCA.
4) what do u do during your free time?
5) what is your hobby?
6) your parents occupation.

According to him, it is more of a random questions. Hope it helps.

Hi cheerfuldad, beside VS, which other did your son apply? For us, we are still waiting for DHS. Nothing heard from them so far.

I have applied VS and SJI under DSA Sport. SJI has offered my son a place but I prefer VS as it has 2 bonus points to enter VJC after the ‘0’ level.

Hi cheerfuldad, hope your son can go to your preferred school at VS.

For us, my son actually preferred DHS as most of his cousin came from DHS previously. All of them are doing very well now. Also, he got some classmates applying DHS as well.

Hi publica, don’t know whether is it true that the call for interview end last week. But this was what I heard from VS admin. Hope next week u have good news from them too. Beside VS, any other schools did your son applied?

Yes, he has applied to a few schools including DHS, SST and NJC. However, he simply loves VS. We are preparing him for VS rejection and he will be going for NJC 2nd phase next Sat. Hope it turns out well.

We have not heard from DHS too. Let’s keep each other updated when we have news. Thanks.
