Thanks for sharing..
This is my exact personal feeling as well. Simply uninspiring and a lot 'siam arrow taiji' to sensitive questions. I know some videos and articles are too biased and paint an unfair extreme negative image, but in these content, there should be some part truths as well, no ?

Somehow I feel TCB is trying to hard, and wonder when it comes to the hardball tactics by the ruling party, I wonder if he will stand firm. I am very sure TJS will, and he probably will have the endorsement from most opposition parties ( as ex-SDP, and even Nicole Seah has endorsed ).

But TJS is not as charismatic or likeable as TCB, but then neither is TKL nor TT.
Guess I'm not gonna spoil the vote liao..  -

\"If somebody tells me he will vote for me if I take a pay cut, I don't know whether I'm actually compromising principles - that is, actually, I'm buying your vote\" - Dr Tan
:? I don't follow his argument. By his arguments, all political parties have been \"buying\" our votes with their campaign promises. -
err… there’s more then 1 Dr Tan rite… which one u referring to leh…?

Hi limlim,
Just to share.. that article mentioned TCB..

thanks for the link. interesting read indeed. Nicely written and some interesting phrases.
The managers of these state-owned enterprises come across as meekly enough. But when they are given limitless power that even high court judges cannot not touch, but which the administrators themselves have no clue how to wield and for what purpose, they lose sight of the very people they are entrusted to serve.
I am quite surprised that this thread is not as active as when the GE2011 was in motion. I would think this is equally important, especially now that the ruling party is already in place, and what we as voters now are choosing for a responsible president who will safeguard our interest and protect our reserves vehemently and firmly. He must be impartial and strong willed to speak out IF totally necessary.
I have not mentioned much about TKL, but I do sympathise with him. He had been trying to champion certain citizens rights for the past few years on his own, and I salute him for his efforts and courage. Much like how I admired JB Jeyaratnam in the past, they lack certain qualities that endear the voters or people to really hear them out. Most Singaporeans are superficial and form their conclusion too early and think along the lines of \" what's in it for me? \" or \" will I get into any trouble?\".
As shown by the yahoo Poll, TKL has the lowest chance amongst the 4 Tans. It is up to him to view the greater good and decide what he wants to do next. However, he already has the golden ticket, the COE. He is still young, and with this ticket, he knows in future, he can always try again.
My hope ( and those close to me ) and vote is now btw TJS and TCB, depending on a variety of factors. I personally do not even contemplate TT as an option based on the available candidates. The recent public appearances has only managed to let the people see the real TT. He doesn't impress at all and I imagined him to be much more dignified in the past.looking4Tutor:
The Muppet Show ran for 12 seasons already. I do not want to see another cycle.

The quote was from the papers. It referred to Dr Tan Cheng Bock. -

when TCB said that about \"pay cut\", that was a reply to a question about donating his salary to charity...not in general term of salary deduction\"If somebody tells me he will vote for me if I take a pay cut, I don't know whether I'm actually compromising principles - that is, actually, I'm buying your vote\" - Dr Tan

Agree. No reason why they should.why are union leaders voicing their endorsement of candidate? :?
shouldn't election be of individual's choice? -
Just hot from the paper… Two Chinese clans or association in support of TT…
