If I become EM , does it mean my chance is higher than being a PV under 2B if the school is within 1 km

Both PV and GRL belong to P2B hence their chances are the same. But if you are GRL, you are entitled to P2B for schools within the GRC so you have more choice of schools. For school PV, the P2B is only for the school you volunteer. In any case, ballot may occur so whether PV or GRL, the home school distance is still important. πŸ˜„

Heard from frenzs that for GRLs, appointment is for two yrs. after two yrs, so called \"renewed their terms\". could \"sleeping\" GRLs won't be \"renewed\" by PA after their initial two yrs ended?

What is YEC by the way? :?

Youth execute committee. Mine due to register in 2013. Got timeline to join ? Still in time ?

Maybe able to make it. It really depends when u can turn from observer to executive member. If u can turn executive in 6-8 mths (which is considered very fast), then yes, can make it. Or else a bit difficult.
Essentially one must serve as an EM for 1 year before u can get phase 2b priority i.e. 1 june 2012 - 30 May 2013.[/quote]Period should be 1 Jul 2012 to 30 Jun 2013. This is the minimum criteria. If can serve longer, better and safer.

It will depend on the chairman and the committee. Certain \"sleeping\" GRLs can't be removed due to some tactical reasons :censored:

I agree. Some can't be removed. If you know the criteria set by PA on the type of members in the RC in order to get the \"4 stars\", you will know some members are planted for this purpose only. I am getting sick of this whole \"game\". It's so fake!

But by and large, before each new term starts, we'll do a \"clean-up\" of sleeping members.

                  Hi,

anyone noes if there is a limit to the no. of EM in the RC? I just joined an RC recently as observer and noticed there are more than 10 observers and abt 15 EM or more… So many!! When will i get a chance to be promoted??

I mean is there like a renewal thing like EM got to step down after how many yrs? It seems like the term is for 2 yrs which means they only change next yr. So does it mean if i cant get to be an EM next yr then i have no chance? I need to register my ger in 2014, she is going to p 1 in 2015. Thanks!

The max EM per RC is 30. There is no limit on number of terms that an EM can serve, so they could effectively go on and on and never step down. Only executive appt such as Chairman has a max. terms of 3, which is 6 yrs. What you see may not be the true picture, as many EM may not have turned up. You should check with the PA staff supporting your RC the official list for your RC. If your RC already max out, then you can't be confirmed EM. You need to discuss with PA as well as your Chairman to resolve it. In any case, your RC seems to have many observers in front of you. But confirmation as EM is not FCFS, it depends on individual's commitment and contributions. We can effectively hold an observer forever if he is not active but in most cases, we removed his/her name if he failed to turn up for monthly meeting or events consecutively.
